Description

M3 F2. Simple interior and exterior settings.

Yellow Moon is a modern Bonnie and Clyde tale that follows the fortune of two teenagers on the run. Silent Leila is an introverted girl who has a passion for celebrity magazines. Stag Lee Macalinden is the deadest of dead-end kids in a dead-end town. They never meant to get mixed up in a murder ... but now they need a place to hide.

"Not for nothing did the National Theatre of Scotland snap up David Greig as their own dramaturge ... Yellow Moon is full of contemporary themes: celebrity; self harm; alienation; broken families; even racism. Yet even this seems to grow out of the characters rather than be thrust upon them ... Engrossing and engaging." The Times

Yellow Moon was commissioned by TAG Theatre Company, produced in association with the Citizens' Theatre, and premiered at the Circle Studio of Citizens' Theatre, Glasgow, in September 2006. The play re-toured in 2007, including an appearance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
