9-year-old Danny lives happily in a gypsy caravan with his devoted father and works in their small village petrol station. When his father fails to return from a poaching expedition on the wealthy estate of nasty, greedy Victor Hazell, Danny fears his father is in grave danger and sets off on a courageous journey, masterminding the most incredible and exciting rescue. Although written for seven actors with doubling, a larger cast is possible and could enhance the “community” feel.
